The Ministry of Finance is drafting an amendment to the decree on business of betting on horse racing, greyhound racing and international football, which would allow the payment of bets via e-wallets or telecommunication accounts.
In the last 10 years many foreign investors announced plans to
build a horse racecourse in Viet Nam, but none of them succeeded because
gambling is highly restricted in the country.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh has asked the Ministry of Finance
(MOF) to do research and build a pilot project on the business of
international football betting.

assistance to speed up a project to build a horse racing track in Ha
Noi''s suburban district of Soc Son.
